Construction of a finite-element mesh
Upon completing the choice of the objects, the system proceeds to the construction of a finite-element mesh. For shell studies, triangular finite elements are used. The user must set up the desired level of discretization (size of the element) in the mesh building dialogue. Let’s set the typical size of 150 mm and press OK or Apply. The resulting mesh will be imaged in the Preprocessor window. If the system has gangling parts, the system suggests going to the mode of study diagnostics.
