Study Types

The AutoFEM Analysis system contains the following types of studies:

Static Analysis
The static analysis calculates displacements, reaction forces, strains, stresses, and safety factors which are calculated by using one of the four strength criterions.
When the hypothesis of linear static analysis does not apply, you can use the nonlinear static analysis to solve the problem.

Buckling Analysis
The buckling analysis is a technique used to determine critical loads at which a structure becomes unstable and the characteristic shape associated with a structure's buckled response.

Frequency Analysis
The frequency analysis is used to determine the vibration characteristics (natural frequencies and mode shapes) of a structure.

Thermal Analysis
The thermal analysis calculates temperatures, temperature gradients and a heat flux.

Fatigue Analysis
The fatigue analysis is used for studying the strength of material under the action of variable loads.

Forced Harmonic Oscillations (Frequency response)
The forced harmonic oscillation analysis is used when the system is subjected with harmonic external excitation.
