Layers are widely used in AutoCAD for logical division of graphic information. AutoFEM Analysis reads data about layers containing elements of the 3D model and saves it.
The set of objects for finite-element analysis does not include objects which are placed on turned-off and frozen layers.
Any study tree in the AutoFEM palette reflects objects grouped by layer. This gives a user an opportunity to select objects easily (with the pressed button Shift), lying on one layer, for instance, in order to assign the same material to them.
The layer name is presented prior to the name of the object of the 3D model.
Each object included in the set of objects receives the unique name, by which it can be easily identified in any study, created on the basis of this set of objects.
